Ras al-Khaimah

Ras al-Khaimah literally means The Top of the Tent and when observing its location on the map, one can naturally see why that particular name is chosen. Ras al-Khaimah has UAE's main seaport, providing bulk and container services. The international airport of Ras al-Khaimah is currently undergoing an upgrade and has a very free airspace with no restrictions on frequencies and time of arrival and departure. In 2006, Space Adventures announced that they'll spend $265m on a commercial spaceport in Ras al-Khaimah dedicated to space tourism.
