The World

The World is an archipelago of 300 islands that resemble the world map. Finished at the beginning of 2008, developers have already claimed 94% of the islands. The price tag of the islands are $15m - $50m USD, having a special island at a cost of $250m USD.

Developments

Nakheel, the company behind The World, is currently developing parts of the islands themselves. Located in the North American quadrant of The World, Coral Island is close to major transportation hubs and only a 15-minute boat ride from Dubai’s mainland. Coral Island will take approximately three years to complete with a target date for residents to move in of 2010.
