Dheeraj & East Coast breaks ground for AED 615 million Culture Village projects

August 6, 2008 by UAERush · Leave a Comment

Dheeraj & East Coast LLC (DEC), a leading Dubai-based real estate developer, today broke ground for its three prestigious projects located in the heart of Culture Village. The AED 615 million projects include Cascade Ville and Cascade Manor, two exquisitely designed residential developments, and The Estate, a mixed-use residential-cum-commercial development. Present at the ground-breaking ceremony were Engineer Marwan Halaoui (Head of Technical Department), Mr. Sailesh Jatania (Chief Finance Officer), Mr. Shaikh Shamshuddin (Sales Manager) and Raman Iyer (Marketing Head) from DEC.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jatania said:

“The ground breaking for our prestigious developments in Culture Village is definitely a big step forward, considering that we had only recently announced our joint venture with Robodh Contracting as our main contractor and the award of the piling and shoring contract to Sharaf Foundations. It shows that the work is proceeding right on track and I am certain our strategic alliances with our construction partners will ensure smooth progress in future as well. I am also optimistic that our combined expertise will add to the value of these unique projects.”

As DEC’s main contractor, Robodh Contracting LLC, one of the leading contracting companies in the Middle East, will be responsible for the construction of all DEC’s existing and future projects, including appointing and coordinating with sub-contractors. Sharaf Foundations, a company with a solid record of work in over 50 projects across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman and Qatar, has taken up the initial groundwork for the three Culture Village projects, which includes excavation, drilling, shoring and foundation works.

DEC’s three projects in Culture Village are spread over an area of 60,981 square feet, with a built up area of 412,743 square feet.

The projects are architecturally and aesthetically in resonance with the overall concept of Culture Village as a node of Arabic art, architecture and culture, with wide open spaces, traditional wind towers, cobblestone walkways, waterways with quaint bridges, creekside souks and eating joints. The unique combination of residential, commercial and retail living spaces seamlessly interweaves old-world charm with luxurious modern lifestyles, bringing together diverse nationalities to live and work in harmony.

Cascade Ville is a majestic, seven-storey residential project comprising tastefully-designed one to three-bedroom apartments, state-of-the-art health club and gymnasium, retail boutique and café and 24-hour security, besides frontal waterfalls. The eight-storeyed Cascade Manor is also a mélange of modern and old world charm, incorporating one, two and three-bedroom apartments, and a park with landscaped gardens. The Estate is a mixed-use project blending traditional Arabic architectural styles with modern construction technologies to create a mix of distinguished residences and contemporary offices that feature intelligent design concepts for a unique and vibrant community lifestyle.
